Potential postal service disruption - FAQs

As a result of the current Canada Post Labour disruption, Manulife cannot receive inbound mail. We do not have an end date to the labour disruption. We encourage you to use one of our alternative methods to communicate with us.

Depending on your specific needs, you can communicate with us in several ways. These include email, our online portals, chat, or by calling our contact centre. We are here to assist you through any of these channels.

We are pleased to offer drop boxes at four of our Canadian head offices. Please visit the security desk located inside the main lobby.

Documents mailed before the strike may experience delays. If possible, please resubmit your document digitally to ensure it is processed promptly.

If you have an urgent issue, please contact us directly. We can provide alternative methods for submitting your documents.

During the strike, Manulife will be unable to mail out claim reimbursements. All cheques will be kept in a safe location and mailed as soon as the strike has ended.

Yes, submitting claims online is the best way to receive timely reimbursements during the strike. Visit Manulife.ca/planmember and select Sign in to sign in with your Manulife ID. 

If you don’t have a Manulife ID yet, select Register now to create one. 

It’s easy! Simply download the app from the App Store on your Apple or Android device. Sign in with your Manulife ID and get ready to manage your plan easily and from anywhere.  

Follow the prompts to set up your Manulife ID if you don’t have one already. Face recognition makes logging in easy. 

How to set up direct deposit in the app: 

  1. Go to the menu in the top left corner of your screen 
  2. Click on Settings 
  3. Select Account information > My profile > Banking information  

You can view the status of your claims by signing into your account on the member website Manulife.ca/planmember. You will find your Claims History right on the home page.  

On the mobile app, tap on the Claims icon at the bottom of your screen.
