Pursuing adoption is often a lengthy and costly process, taking months or years, with costs ranging from approximately $10,000 to $25,000 for private domestic adoption and approximately $25,000 to $50,000+ for international adoption.1

- 5% of Canadians surveyed adopted in 2021, an increase from 1% in 2017.2
- Nearly 1 in 3 (32%) say they have considered adoption in 2022, up from 1 in 4 in 2017.2
